About Luxx Club London

Luxx Club London has closed. The Berkeley Street site was Funky Buddha, then went through several rebrands including Luxx, became Funky Buddha again, and now operates as Itzel. People still search for Luxx by name, so this page explains what it was and where to go instead.

History: when it was open, Luxx was known for its LED light shows, with walls and ceilings that changed through the night in time with the music. It played open format with a lean towards hip-hop, and it drew birthday groups, regulars and international visitors. Tables started from £1,000 at the time.

For a night where the room is part of the show today, Cirque Le Soir has performers around the tables, The London Reign pairs dinner with a cabaret and a club, and Tape London is the hip-hop choice with a harder door.

Dress Code

When it was open, Luxx followed the smart Mayfair standard: smart shoes for men and no sportswear.

The Crowd

When it was open: locals, birthday groups and international visitors, mostly in their twenties and early thirties.
